NEW - First Good Shepherd Soccer Cup – June 18, 2026

Everyone is warmly invited on Thursday, June 18 st 6:30pm to witness the First Good Shepherd Soccer Cup to be held in St. Anne, Manitoba at St. Anne’s Elementary School Ground. Come and support the exciting match between the Good Shepherd Team, composed of clergy members, and The Chosen One Team, composed of laity from different parishes. Join us for a day of fellowship, sportsmanship, and community spirit as we cheer for our favorite soccer teams. Bring your family and friends and be part of this memorable event! Free hot dogs and buns will be available for everyone to enjoy. This initiative also serves as a supportive event for the Good Shepherd Campaign, alongside vocation promotion and the Knights of Columbus.

NEW - Photo Gallery & Video – Marriage Catechumenate Workshops

The Archdiocese of Saint Boniface and the Archdiocese of Winnipeg recently partnered to host two Marriage Catechumenate Workshops, bringing together clergy and lay pastoral leaders from both Archdioceses to reflect on and strengthen the Church’s pastoral approach to marriage and family life.

Held on April 16 and April 18, 2026, the workshops invited participants to explore lifelong formation for the vocation of marriage and the Church’s mission of accompanying couples and families in faith and with pastoral support throughout every stage of life.

We are grateful to all who attended and contributed to these synodal days of learning, dialogue, and renewal. The strong participation from both Archdioceses was a testament to our shared commitment to supporting marriages and families in our local Churches.

NRE - Photo Gallery – Ordination to the Transitional Diaconate of Joseph Martin Pham

Christ the King Church was filled to capacity on May 29 for the ordination to the transitional diaconate of Joseph Martin Pham. The Mass, solemnly presided over by Archbishop Albert LeGatt, was a joyful occasion marking the seminarian’s entry into holy orders. We ask all the faithful to pray for our new deacon and to pray that he may experience a year of continuous spiritual growth as he prepares to become a priest in 2027.

NEW - Photo Gallery – Vincent Nguyen’s Ordination to the Transitional Diaconate

St. Emile Church was in celebration, on May 22^nd, for the ordination of Vincent Nguyen to the Transitional Diaconate. The Mass, presided by archbishop Albert LeGatt, was fittingly solemn event for the seminarian’s entrance into Holy Orders. We ask all the faithful to pray for our new deacon, and to pray for a year of continued spiritual growth as he moves forward towards the priesthood in 2027.

NEW - Annual Multicultural Mass & Celebration – July 1st

The Archdiocese of St. Boniface warmly invites you to take part in our Annual Multicultural Mass and Celebration on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. This will be a joyful gathering that celebrates the rich cultural diversity of our local Church. We will begin with Mass presided by Archbishop Albert Legatt at 10:30 a.m., followed by our Multicultural Celebration from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the Archdiocesan grounds. The afternoon celebration will include cultural displays, performances, music, a bouncy castle, activities for kids and families, and a chance to try snacks and refreshments from different parts of the world. Bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets!

NEW - Pope Leo XIV’s First Encyclical Letter - Magnifica Humanitas

Pope Leo XIV’s Encyclical Letter, Magnifica Humanitas, was released today. It focuses on safeguarding the human person in the time of artificial intelligence. The letter is dated 15 May, to commemorate the 135^th anniversary of Pope Leo XIII’s Encyclical Letter, Rerum Novarum.

The Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development offers the following synopsis of the Encyclical Letter: “Magnifica Humanitas offers insights into the protection of the human person in the age of artificial intelligence, recognizing a profound epochal shift. It places the dignity of the human person at the centre as the criteria for guiding technical progress. The Church’s social teaching accompanies these transformations, pointing to the common good, solidarity and subsidiarity as the fundamental benchmarks for understanding and interpreting the transformation currently underway. It proposes, as an alternative to the culture of power and war, a civilization of love founded on justice, dialogue and shared responsibility.”
