Archbishop LeGatt & the Reverend Norman Mead: Conversation for National Indigenous Peoples Day

During this National Indigenous History Month, and in view of National Indigenous Peoples Day which takes place June 21st, Archbishop Albert discusses reconciliation with Norman Meade, Elder and Reverend in the Anglican Church. Truly, great lengths remain in the paths of truth and reconciliation. Yet, concerted efforts from all parties continue to lay the foundations to the reconciliation we seek.

Please join us in praying for truth and reconciliation on Turtle Island, for all peoples who inhabit it, both Indigenous and settler peoples.

Peter Tran Ordination Video

Saint Boniface Cathedral was full to bursting on May 31st for the priestly ordination of Peter Trần. The solemn Mass, presided by Archbishop Albert LeGatt, was notable for the number of priests in attendance, as well as for the presence of Peter Trần's parents, Minh Dung Tran and Thi Kim Le. Saint Boniface Cathedral was packed with the faithful, on May 31st, for the presbyteral ordination of Peter Trần. The solemn Mass, presided by Archbishop Albert LeGatt, was notable for the number of priests in attendance, as well as for the presence of Peter Trần's parents, Minh Dung Tran and Thi Kim Le. Many thanks to the diocesan choir, the St. Philip Minh Parish choir and the technical team who made it possible to livestream the ordination so that Peter Trần's family and friends in Vietnam could take part in the celebration from a distance.

Video: Marriage Vows Renewal Mass, May 4, 2025

Nearly 350 people attended the diocesan celebration of wedding anniversaries, held on May 4 at the Cathedral of Saint-Boniface. Couples were not only able to attend a mass in their honor, but were also able to reaffirm their marriage vows and receive a blessing from Bishop LeGatt.
