Multicultural Mass 2026

Come experience the world in our Archdiocesan grounds! Bring your lawn chair + picnic blanket and enjoy with family and friends!
The Archdiocese of St. Boniface warmly invites everyone to our Annual Multicultural Mass and Celebration on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. This will be a joyful gathering that celebrates the rich cultural diversity of our local Church.
We will begin with a mass presided by Archbishop Albert Legatt at 10:30 a.m. featuring a multilingual choir followed by our Multicultural Celebration from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the Archdiocesan grounds.
Shortly aftermass, the celebration will continue with cultural displays, open stage performances, music, bouncy castle, activities for kids and families, and a chance to try snacks and refreshments from different parts of the world.
This annual celebration is a beautiful opportunity for our communities to come together in faith, unity, and joy—honouring the many cultures that enrich our Archdiocese. We warmly encourage parishes and cultural organizations to attend and participate, whether through presence, cultural representation, or performance.
We look forward to celebrating with you and witnessing the vibrant diversity of our Archdiocese together.
Ways to Participate in the Multicultural Mass
1. Multicultural Mass Procession
Each culture/community is invited to send 2 youth representatives (preferably one male and one female) dressed in traditional attire. Participants will process at the beginning of Mass carrying or wearing a sash identifying the culture, community, or country they represent.
2. Multicultural Mass Music
Communities are invited to contribute a hymn in their language as part of the Mass celebration. We also invite members from your community to join the multilingual choir, where participants will learn songs in different languages and have the opportunity to teach the choir a hymn from their own culture.
3. Multicultural Mass Intercessions
A representative from your community will be invited to proclaim an intercession in your native language during Mass, while the English translation is projected for the assembly.
Ways to Participate in the Celebration
1. Cultural Booths & Displays
Communities are invited to host a booth or tent showcasing their culture through traditional art, clothing, displays, crafts, food, or information about their community and traditions.
2. Open Stage Cultural Performances
Groups are welcome to share a cultural performance that highlights the beauty and richness of their culture through music, dance, singing, or other artistic expressions.
