Social Pastoral Mission - Associated Services

Flavie Laurent-Centre

Mission

We distribute at no cost furniture, appliances, household items and clothing to people in need. We sort, store and distribute the goods and the clothing received from donors to help the impoverished. (between 60-100 families are served daily)

The strength and mission of the Centre's work is shown forth by the service provided to the needy and the concern for the needs and the fate of the poor. Its credibility is rooted in its' rich heritage, its' founders, the Grey Nuns.

Vision

To reduce poverty by offering support and physical goods to people in need. The service is unique and attentive on the real needs of the individual.

The Flavie-Laurent Centre Inc. is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm. for those who need assistance.

L'Arche Winnipeg

L’Arche Winnipeg’s mission is to create homes with people who have an intellectual disability where faithful relationships based on forgiveness and celebration are nurtured, to reveal the unique value and vocation of each person, and to change society by choosing to live relationships in community as a sign of hope and love.

Catholic Health Corporation of Manitoba (CHCM)

Through CHCM, the legacy of the nuns continues to nurture meaning in people’s lives and gives them reason to hope. We govern and sponsor 21 organizations – or Communities of Service  – and their foundations in Manitoba. Our Communities of Service provide service in primary care, acute care, long-term care, comprehensive services to people living with developmental disabilities and they provide housing, social and human services to thousands of Manitobans in need every year.
