 Theology on Tap is back - March 13, 2018

Join us for a casual night of fun, fellowship, food and faith at the next Theology on Tap, Tuesday, March 13; Johnny G’s, 177 McDermott, Wpg. Sr. Michelle Garlinski, SNJM, Director of Charism and Mission at St. Mary’s Academy, will share about the topic: “Is the Church Still Relevant?” This is a FREE event. Guests may arrive at 7:15 PM to order food and drinks and to fellowship with the young adults present; the talk begins at 8 PM; followed by a time of table discussion. Session for Parents: How to talk about tough issues with your teens? – April 3, 7:00 pm – to 8:30 pm

Parent session based on the new Theology of the Body Program from Ascension Press called YOU. Tough issues include: gender identity, same-sex attraction, contraception, abortion, pornography and premarital sex. Session will be at St. Joseph the Worker, 505 Brewster St. Please register by March 30 for this free event by contacting Mireille Grenier.  Walk-ins are welcome.

 Eastar Rock Opera, March 30-31

Eastar is an energetic rock opera written by Shawn Coughlin which brings to life the story of Jesus of Nazareth. It will be performed by young Manitobans ages 12 – 30 at St. Mary’s Academy Alumnae Hall at 7:00 pm Good Friday March 30th and 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 31st 2018. This is the main youth-focused event of Catholica 200 – the celebration year of the 200th anniversary of the arrival of the Catholic mission in Western Canada. Tickets are on sale online as of February 1st at www.eastar2018.com
