Christ the King School – School Counsellor – 0.5 Flexible Schedule (2026-2027 School Year with possibility of becoming permanent)

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of current Child Protection Legislation and thorough knowledge of community supports and resources;
  • Ability to provide effective consultation to school administration, teachers, staff, students and parents regarding personal, social and emotional needs of students;
  • Ability to conduct a needs assessment and evaluation of bullying, violence, for at-risk behaviours;
  • Ability to provide individual/group counselling and support for at-risk students in the areas of personal, social-emotional and academic development;
  • Ability to prepare and deliver guidance lessons to all students to develop life skills, promote good character, develop resilience, and emphasize the importance of higher education and goal setting;
  • Excellent written and verbal skills;
  • Excellent time management and leadership skills;
  • Child Abuse Registry Check and Criminal Record Check documents will be required prior to commencement of employment.

Position Description:

  • Part-time 75% (Kindergarten – Grade 6)
  • Permanent contract, subject to probationary full year
  • Courses in Basic French Manitoba curriculum

Qualifications:

  • A valid Manitoba Permanent Professional Teaching Certificate
  • Have knowledge of, and experience with, the Basic French Manitoba Curriculum
  • Experience is an asset
  • Using AIM approach is an asset
  • A CRC and CARC to be submitted prior to commencement of employment.

Curator / Manager – Itsanitaq Museum

A small non-profit museum (est. 1944) located in the administrative headquarters of the Diocese of Churchill-Hudson Bay requires a self-motivated individual who

  • has the appropriate attitude to successfully adapt to the multi-tasking environment of a small set-up
  • will approach this new employment as a possible long term vocation versus an opportunity to have a transient Northern work experience or career path strategy
