COVID-19 Protocol 4 At A Glance

With this update, we wish to inform you that the Liturgical Protocol No. IV will now be issued on Friday, June 5, 2020, the Feast of Saint Boniface.

Since it is a foundational document for the entire duration of this pandemic, we want to take all the necessary measures to send you a document (of approximately 20 pages) with clear and precise directives.

However, we have prepared a document which is a summary of the essential elements for the implementation of this protocol. This document will guide your practices in the future.

Three ordinations: a Sign of Great Hope for our Church

This week, Archbishop LeGatt calls to mind the great hope brought to our Church in the coming weeks thanks to the ordination of three men to the services of transitional diaconate and priesthood! These men will be ordained to be, with us, their parish community and Church, the living Body of Christ. Archbishop LeGatt shares his great joy in looking ahead at these great events, not only for these candidates, but even more for the gift they will be to our Church for many years to come.

All 3 ordinations will be celebrated and broadcasted live onto the Archdiocesan Facebook page and on YouTube for you to join, from the safety of your home, in prayer and thanksgiving with these men to the Lord for his great and providential and love.

Bishop LeGatt's Update Following Loosening of Gathering Restrictions

As provincial officials have recently announced the great news of a slow loosening of public restrictions in this time of pandemic, Archbishop LeGatt shares how these progressive transitions will also be reflected by our Church through resumption of restricted and prudent gatherings. Although limiting liturgies to online broadcasts has been a necessity these past weeks, Archbishop Albert reminds us that these are far from ideal. We are a sacramental people, for whom celebrating together, as the Body of Christ, is essential.
Continue to follow us closely as new directives and protocols will be published in the coming weeks from the Archdiocese, directing parishes on how to respond prudently to upcoming and evolving changes in provincial directives.
