The Catholic School of Evangelization (CSE) offers outreach services on a year round basis.
Their teams of young adults are co-ed and are available to any group (including schools, youth groups, seniors, needy, etc.) to make presentations, which are typically comprised of skits, personal sharing and music. |
Presentations can range from one hour to weeklong retreats and can touch on a variety of themes including; personal growth, chastity, faith, love of God, confirmation prep, peer pressure, etc.
They also offer to be involved in long-term parish youth ministry development - in this way they are available to interested parishes to help them with the hands-on youth ministry in their parish.

CFC YOUTH FOR CHRIST

This program aims to provide a Christian support environment for young adults between 12-21 years of age. The program is oriented toward meeting the needs of our young people to belong, to be motivated, to be useful, to be good examples, to be Christian witnesses. It has put a premium on four characteristics: it is FUN; it builds FRIENDSHIPS; it enhances the FAITH; it allows them to be FREE. |
Some background... CFC YFC is a youth ministry that belongs to Couples for Christ. CFC is a Catholic family life renewal ministry that started in 1981 in the Philippines, and has since spread to at least 117 other countries in the world. CFC is highly evangelistic, missionary movement, which has grown very rapidly and now has a committed membership of more than a million adults. Its membership includes Asians, North Americans, Australians, Europeans, Pacific Islanders, etc.
CFC has been given recognition by the Pontifical Council of the Laity in the Vatican as a private international association of the faithful. CFC was one of the fifty international movements, which were invited by the Vatican to the World Congress on Ecclesial Movements in May 1998, in Rome.
Where do we begin?
The initial program for establishing the ministry of CFC YFC is what we call the Youth Camp. The camp runs for three days. To fully appreciate the value of the Youth Camp and to make the most out of it, it must be seen not just as a three-day experience where the teenagers can have fun, (although this is also important), but in the light of the overall objectives of the Youth Camp, so that the youth can develop to be joyful, responsible and fruitful men and women of God.
We should realize that the camp is not an end in itself or an annual diversion for teenagers that will give them something to do during the summer or semester break, but it is the beginning of what will hopefully be a lifetime commitment to God. It is the place where they will hear the Word of God proclaimed by other young adults like themselves in an environment of fun and excitement, where they do not experience any form of pressure from adults. After the camp, the youth are invited to become part of CFC YFC. They are grouped into small groups that meet monthly. The members are given more teachings, retreats and sharing. Support in and through CFC YFC is intended for a lifetime.
